Kristen Henke is a First Steps Developmental Therapist. She graduated from Ball State University in 2019 with a dual bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Prior to working at CTC, she taught at a variety of child care centers for over six years. She loved engaging the children in the curriculum while individualizing her strategies to help each child reach new milestones. She completed her student teaching internship in a special education classroom that served students in grades kindergarten to fifth grade who had a range of disabilities including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia, and Social/Emotional Disorders. She has also previously interned with First Steps as an Intake Coordinator.
She enjoys providing specific, individualized, and focused intervention to children enrolled in First Steps. Kristen serves children in Marion County and is excited to help support families and children during this critical developmental period. She enjoys helping children and families develop strategies to help maximize the child’s development to promote successful independence.
