Building from our fall ideas post from yesterday, there are so many opportunities for learning when visiting an apple orchard! Children can practice reaching, grasping, and wrist rotation when picking apples. They can increase vocabulary through describing different colors and textures and gain social skills through interactions with other children.

When you get home from the orchard, the learning can continue through an apple craft and taste testing! Painting with apples is a great way for picky eaters to interact with a novel food in a non-threatening way!
