Laura Bobinsky, M.S., CCC-SLP
Laura Bobinsky is a full-time speech-language pathologist at Children’s Therapy Connection serving First Steps families in Marion County and children with feeding challenges in the clinic. She grew up on Mackinac Island, Michigan and now lives on the north side of Indianapolis. Laura holds a master’s degree in speech, language and hearing sciences from Purdue University and a bachelor’s in education from the University of Michigan.
Prior to joining CTC full-time in 2014, Laura worked with First Steps families on a part-time basis while also working at Riley Hospital for Children on the feeding and swallowing team. In addition, she has experience providing augmentative and alternative communication services in a school setting. While Laura enjoys all aspects of speech-language pathology, her professional special interests focus on feeding interventions and family training for children with complex medical needs, including Down syndrome and autism spectrum disorders; and, she presents on these topics to parents, therapists and other medical professionals at state and national conventions.
Laura believes in play-based, family-centered therapy activities to help children achieve functional communication and the skills and desire to eat a wide variety of foods. On weekends, Laura and her husband can be found hiking, riding their bicycles in the country, and walking with their miniature schnauzer, Samuel.
