Katie lives in Lawrence Township with her young son Will. She attended the University of Evansville, where she received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2011 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2009. Following graduation, Katie began her career working in geriatrics. After her son Will began requiring therapy for developmental delays, Katie had a new passion for early therapy intervention in young children. Driven by her family’s own experiences, Katie began working as a therapist for First Steps Indiana, an early intervention program designed to help infants and toddlers. During this time, she pursued specialized training in Masgatova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI). The MNRI Method is designed to facilitate the emergence, maturation, and integration process of primary motor reflex pattern to restore impaired or delayed motor functions.
When Katie is not working, she actively pursues therapies for her son, including MNRI techniques. Katie loves being active. She regularly practices Yoga and enjoys bike-riding, roller-skating as well as cooking healthy meals for her family and others. She is active in Traders Point Christian Church with the special needs and children’s ministry as well as foster family support care.
